Once prettiest building of Indore this Hall was constructed in 1904. Originally named King Edwards Hall it was renamed in 1948 as Mahatma Gandhi Hall. Its architectural style is Indo-Gothic, made in seoni stone, its domes and steeples are a landmark of Indore city today. It has a four-faced clock tower in front, because of which it is locally known as Ghanta Ghar. The central hall has a capacity for 200 people and is most popular for the various book & painting exhibitions, sales fairs held throughout the year. It also has a library, children's park, and temple. |
